I'm Mel Gorman, a kernel engineer based in Limerick, Ireland and currently working for SUSE Labs. I hold a PhD in computer science from the University of Limerick and am the author of Understanding the Linux Virtual Memory Manager. Previously I worked for the IBM Linux Technology Center as a memory manager specialist and earlier worked with their Lotus division on IBM PortalServer.
